Rocky Point Sailing Association is now accepting applications for new coaches this summer for work beginning July 6th. In particular, we are looking for friendly and professional CYA certified Green or Blue instructors to teach a variety of programs. Previous coaching and racing experience is an asset, but not required.
RPSA is also looking for a new Race Team Coach who is available to work as soon as possible. An ideal candidate would be someone with plenty of racing and coaching experience and who expects performance of a high-caliber from themselves and their participants. Duties will include working with experienced and highly competitive Laser, Opti and 420 sailors and organizing trips to and coaching at regattas. This is challenging and rewarding work for a dedicated coach.
Being the only sailing club located in the Port Moody/Coquitlam/Port Coquitlam area, Rocky Point Sailing Association has become a prominent influence in promoting the sport of sailing to the tri-city area. With an emphasis on fun and recreation, RPSA introduces the CYA Learn-to-Sail levels in a way that is approachable and enjoyable for all ages. Our fleet includes Lasers, Optis, Sabots and some excellent 420s, and courses offered range from Wet Feet to Bronze V.
Rocky Point Sailing Association encourages applications from qualified individuals of visible minority and Aboriginal backgrounds.
If you are interested in applying or would like further information, please contact Samantha Taylor (Sailing Director) at (604) 931-1734 or info@rpsa.ca. We look forward to hearing from you soon.
