Rocky Point Sailings Former Olympian

Rob Woodbury a member of Rocky Point Sailing Association and the clubs Youth Advisor is a former Olympian in sailing (1980) in the Finn. Unfortunately the Canadian team boycotted the 1980 Olympics and Rob was denied the opportunity to compete.  Supporting Canadian Olympic athletes has always been one of Rob's endeavors. Rob was at the airport to welcome the Canadian Athletes back from Beijing. Rocky Point Sailing is very appreciative of all Rob's work with our youth and at the Club. With the 2010 Olympics in Canada and so close to home Rob applied to be and was accepted as a torch bearer, he carried the torch in Summerland BC.
