There will be boat maintenance work to do on Boat In/Out day for the 420's. This will take some extra time.
There will be four categories to hopefully help make things go faster.
- Mast rigging
- Centreboard lines and function
- Centerboard gaskets
From yesterday we have volunteers to head up the organization of the work on these categories.
Parts locator information from Laser Performance and Zim Sailing (420 Manufacturers) are available at these links to their pdf files.

It has been a week since Jim left for Windsor and now that things have finally started to calm down, I thought I should introduce myself for those of you who do not know me yet.
Its that time of year again and out annual regatta is fast approaching. The regatta will take place on Saturday, September 14th and Sunday, September 15th on the Burrard Inlet near Rocky Point Park in Port Moody. Attached is the official Notice of Race and the Registration form for competitors in the regatta.
Hope to see you all there!
Our beginner adult sailing program starts September 7th. No sailing experience required. Participants will learn basic helming skills such as steering, points of sail, docking, rigging, upwind & downwind sailing and tacking in addition to boat safety, sail theory and knots. All participants will be sailing a 420, a 13ft sloop-rigged dinghy, perfect for learning and a great precursor to keel boat sailing and club membership.
