Interested in dragon boating, but not sure were to start? Rocky Point Sailing and Rocky Point Dragon Boating are partnering to put on a program just for you!
This 4 week program runs on Tuesday evenings from 6:30pm to 8:30 pm starting Tuesday August 4th and starts at the very basics of dragon boating, working towards learning to race.
Each 2 hour session includes warm ups, 1.0 hour on the water, and cool down. Paddles and Personal Floatation Devise (PFDs) are provided. No paddling experience required. The only prerequisite is wanting to have fun on the water.

The Coquitlam Power Squadron, are prepared to offer The VHF marine
radio licensing course to RPSA members. Please let firstname.lastname@example.org know if you are interested. This course is important for anyone participating in ocean activities including Kayaking, it is the primary safety communication on the Ocean. The course is intended to Certify participants who pass to operate a VHF (Restricted Operator Certificate (Maritime) with DSC Endorsement).
Attached are the results of the 2014 Rocky Point Regatta for all scored classes. Thanks to all who participated and helped with the regatta. We had a wonderful even with beautiful weather and we really enjoyed hosting the regatta again this year.

This coming Saturday and Sunday (September 13-14, 2014) is the annual Rocky Point Regatta, taking place on the Burrard Inlet near Rocky Point Park. The Notice of Race is attached below and can be found on the BC Sailing website. Also below, is the link to our online registration system. We ask that participants please try to pre-register online so we have a better idea of numbers before the day.

Thanks to everyone who showed up for the rigging day yesterday.
There will be boat maintenance work to do on Boat In/Out day for the 420's. This will take some extra time.
There will be four categories to hopefully help make things go faster.
- Mast rigging
- Centreboard lines and function
- Centerboard gaskets
From yesterday we have volunteers to head up the organization of the work on these categories.
